Are there any costs or admin fees etc. for opening an account?

There are no charges for creating a Live or Demo account on the CMC Next Generation platform. There are however holding costs when carrying a financed position past 5:00 pm Eastern Time, for more information please see holding costs. Please note market data fees may be incurred when trading Share CFDs, for more information please click here.

What are the system requirements of your CMC Next Generation platform?

You will need to have Adobe Flash Player version 10 or higher installed and internet access to use the Web based app. Flash Player 10 does not run on most 64-bit browsers, this may result in issues when logging on to the CMC Next Generation platform. If this is the case, then please use the link below which will show you a step by step guide on how to download a 32-bit browser which you can use to get onto the CMC Next Generation platform.

How do I find a particular product on your CMC Next Generation platform?

Use our Product Library to search for any Product. If you know the name, stock code or common nickname simply type it in and search. Or you can browse through our list of shares, indices, commodities and currencies and filter by type, region and country.

Can I trade using my mobile phone?

Yes. If you have an iPhone or Android device you can trade on your mobile phone. Simply visit the App Store from your device and search for CMC Markets to download the app.

Can I trade from different computers?

Yes, anywhere you can get internet access, as the CMC Next Generation platform is web based.

Can I invest using an alternative currency?

You can deposit either Canadian or US funds only into your CMC Markets account. Please note you can set your base currency to be either Canadian or US dollars. All realized profit, loss and fund deposits will be converted to your base account currency at the prevailing CMC Markets currency conversion rate.
